Inspired by life in a Spanish mountain village, these candles are an alchemy of wild mountain herbs, fennel, rosemary, mountain pepper, jasmine, citrus, coffee, intoxicating rock rose and other aromatic indigenous elements, blended naturally on the breeze, to weave a magical spell that fills your home with the warm heavenly fragrances of the Mediterranean. They are not only guaranteed to smell wonderful, but also look great on the mantelpiece – each candle bears its own unique and collectable label, created in the style of a nostalgic 1930’s travel poster.

La Montaña scented candles are created from 100% natural wax, sustainably sourced and hand poured by artisan candle makers. All La Montaña candles are gift-boxed and cellophane-wrapped.

ALFREDO’S CAFÉ: an unusual, rich comforting blend of the best aromas from the village square - coffee, brandy and black tobacco laced with leather and incense from the local church.

CLOUDBURST: the unmistakable aroma of the mountainside after a summer storm, when the dark clouds part and the sun lances through, stirring up a heavy mist of fragrance. In this haze, notes from our herb garden mingle with fresh citrus from our lemon and lime trees, along with the beguiling scent of wild mountain fennel and rock rose.

SACRED ROSES: a deep velvety rose, garlanded with warm geranium, orange blossom and lavender while cool chamomile evokes ancient stone.

GALÁN DE NOCHE: made with intoxicating night-scented jasmine, with tantalising hints of rose, orange blossom, and ylang yang.

WINTER ORANGES: a spicy blend of Valencia orange, cinnamon, red apple and clove.

FIG GROVE: Ripe fig trees and jasmine. There’s a rocky trail from our house to the next village, and on a hot day it’s a treat for the senses all the way. A dip in the path brings you to a grove of ripe fig trees, where you fall under the heady spell of the fruit, bark and leaves, mingled with the fragrance of a nearby cascade of wild jasmine in full flower.

FIRST LIGHT: made with wild mountain herbs: fennel, bergamot, rosemary, mountain pepper and rockrose.

Our bouquet flowers and foliage are sourced locally from New Covent Garden market and local flower farms.

As our flowers are fresh and seasonal it means that substitutions within our bouquets will sometimes be made where necessary. We will always use the best seasonal flowers to create beautiful hand-tied bouquets.

We deliver Monday to Saturday. Please let us know if your recipient will not be in during those days. The order deadline for this service is midday the previous day.
